Pinkhead v3 + (co)ping (m)echan(ic) [March-May 2024]
Pinkhead v3, a choose-your-own-adventure game
is now playable on itch.io!
Making a story game was the natural conclusion I came to after a year of developing Pinkhead, cataloguing old works while making new ones. Before I get into the making of the game, I'd like to first talk about where this was first showcased.
Pinkhead v3 was first exhibited in my graduation show "Bare 7" at The One Academy in May 2024, accompanied by "(co)ping (m)echan(ic)", a work that spans a hundred or so drawings in and out of sketchbooks from 2017-2024. They were displayed on the floor to ceiling windows of the gallery.
It's an installation that requires you to come up close and personal, as you can leaf through my sketchbooks and see how Pinkhead has helped me learn more about myself for many years now, surviving traumatic times and quiet introspection. It is entirely the context for Pinkhead's story.

You can also spot the original drawings used in Pinkhead from these pages. I wanted this work to "reward" viewers that have paused, taken time out of their day, to look through Pinkhead's story. (Pinkhead is me lol)
The title of this work during the show was actually called "Pinkverse". This is because I forgot the original name for it at the time! Hence why I'm cataloguing everything I can remember now.
As for Pinkhead v3 (the game) I created it in Twine 2.6.2, (Harlowe 3.3.5) which I had a little bit of prior experience in, (see my other story game, "End All Be All", also on my itch.io)
Twine is a free program btw! Next time, you can make a game and I'll play it. I'm serious. I will!

| A bit of accidental bliss was that the window had a cross on it. iykyk |

| This is what Twine looks like. It's actually pretty visual. |

I had a lot of fun making this. I hope you enjoy reading Pinkhead!
